Proper measurements ensure a comfortable fit, so here's how to do it right. Grab a soft measuring tape and a treat to keep your pup still—let’s go!
1. Back Length: From where your pup's neck meets their shoulders (where the collar sits) to the base of the tail.
2. Chest: Around the widest part of your dog’s chest, just behind the front legs.
3. Neck: Around your dog’s neck, where a collar naturally sits.
Top Tips for Tail-Wagging Fit
1. Keep your Dog Standing When Taking Measurements! A seated pup might give you a shorter length.
2. Check Specific Product Sizing: Each outfit may have slightly different measurements, so double check the sizing chart for the specific product.
3. Weight as a Guide Only: Weight isn’t as accurate as measuring—it’s all about the inches!
4. When In-between Sizes: If the product is a jacket or rain jacket, generally seek to size up! As the material wont be stretchy.
